What is a UTV rocker switch?

A UTV rocker switch provides a simple dash-mounted control for one electrical accessory or circuit. Common applications include light bars, pod lights, whips, horns, air compressors, fans, stereos and override functions. This collection also includes rocker actuator covers, relays, replacement controls, switch plates and wiring accessories used to complete or service a side-by-side electrical system.

Complete switches, covers and relays

Check the product type carefully before ordering. Many labeled XTC products are actuator covers only and require a compatible rocker-switch body. A complete switch normally includes the electrical switch mechanism and terminals, while a relay allows a lower-current switch circuit to control a higher-current accessory load.

  • Choose a complete UTV rocker switch when you need the electrical switch body and labeled control.
  • Choose a rocker-switch cover when replacing or relabeling the removable actuator on a compatible switch.
  • Use the specified relay and fuse protection when the accessory load exceeds the switch or circuit rating.
  • Confirm the switch dimensions, terminal layout, illumination color and ON-OFF or momentary function.
  • Verify dash opening, panel compatibility and vehicle-specific wiring before installation.

XTC rocker-switch covers and UTV electrical controls

XTC Power Products offers a broad selection of labeled rocker covers for common UTV accessories, including whips, dune lights, compressors, stereos, fans and lighting. The collection also carries complete waterproof rocker switches, control components and relays from other off-road electrical brands. Product photos can look similar, so use the title and included-parts details to distinguish a cover from a complete switch.

UTV rocker switch FAQ

Is a rocker-switch cover a complete switch?

No. An actuator cover is the labeled cap that snaps onto a compatible switch body. Unless the listing explicitly states that a complete switch is included, plan to use the cover with the correct electrical rocker mechanism.

Do I need a relay for a UTV accessory?

That depends on the accessory load and the switch rating. Higher-current lighting, horns, fans and compressors often use a relay or power-control module. Follow the accessory and switch manufacturer’s wiring, fuse and relay requirements.

What is the difference between ON-OFF and momentary switches?

An ON-OFF switch stays in the selected position until changed. A momentary switch returns when released and is used for functions that should operate only while pressed. Match the switch function to the accessory wiring diagram.

Will a UTV rocker switch fit my factory dash opening?

Not automatically. Measure the opening and confirm the switch family, body dimensions, retaining clips and terminal clearance. Some machines use different factory switch sizes or require an adapter plate.

Finish your UTV switch installation

Select the correct switch, actuator cover, relay and wiring components for the intended accessory. Before ordering, confirm whether the listing is a complete switch or cover only and verify circuit load, terminal style, dash fit and illumination requirements.
