The Rugged Radios 242 Portable Intercom Kit with Helmet Kits gives two people clear in-car communication in a UTV or off-road vehicle with no wiring, drilling or permanent mounting. It runs on two 9V batteries or the included 12-volt power adapter and is ready to use out of the box.
Bluetooth connectivity streams music and handles hands-free calls, and VOX music dimming lowers music while you talk and restores it afterward. Built-in dual PTT buttons provide vehicle-to-vehicle communication when you add an optional GMR2 PLUS or R1 handheld radio with the radio cable.
This configuration includes the 242 Portable Intercom, a 12-volt power adapter, two 6 ft Rugged wired intercom cables and two HK-UNI helmet wiring kits. A headset version with H41 behind-the-head headsets is also available.
