The Polaris RZR Turbo S carries more travel and more speed than the 64-inch cars, and the factory lower rear radius rod still hangs down where the rocks are. This LM UTV 72-inch kit is a set of Billet high clearance radius rods in 6061 Aircraft grade aluminum that raises the lower arms out of the strike zone and puts the rear geometry on 5/8 spherical bearings instead of stock rods.

The lowers are fixed length so the high clearance geometry stays put, and the uppers are adjustable, which is how rear toe gets set with the arms on the car. LM UTV lists it as a Direct Bolt-on Replacement, but read the bumper note before you order: this kit does not fit with an OEM rear bumper.

Built To Solve: Rock Strikes And Bent Lower Rear Rods On The 72" Polaris RZR Turbo S

  • Lower arms dragging on rocks and rut edges. On a wide, fast car the lower rear rod is still the lowest thing back there, and high clearance geometry is what moves it.
  • A dented or bent factory rod that will not come out straight. Once the arm deforms it holds the wrong rear geometry from then on.
  • Rear toe drifting after an impact. The Turbo S will hunt under power and chew the inside edge of the rear tires.
  • Lower arms rolling out of plane in the mount. The 17-4 Stainless Steel spacers designed to keep the lower arm upright hold the arm square to its intended plane.
  • Alignment work that means pulling arms off the car. The 2 adjustable upper rods with RH/LH 5/8 Heims let toe be set in place.

Best For: 2018+ Polaris RZR Turbo S Owners Riding Rocks, Ruts And Technical Lines

  • 2018 and newer Polaris RZR Turbo S owners, 2 seat or 4 seat, on the 72-inch chassis
  • Riders in rocky and rutted terrain where the lower rear arm is the exposed part
  • Owners rebuilding a rear end after bending or denting a factory lower rod
  • Builders already running an aftermarket rear bumper, or willing to run without the factory one — this kit does not fit with an OEM rear bumper, so if keeping the stock bumper is non-negotiable, this is not your kit
  • 64-inch car owners — RZR XP 1000, RZR XP Turbo, Pro XP — are on a narrower chassis and need their own part number; the 72" Turbo S arms do not cross over

Fitment

Fits 2018 and newer Polaris RZR Turbo S models through the current model year, in both 2 seat and 4 seat form, on the 72-inch chassis. LM UTV states the fitment as: 2018+ Polaris RZR Turbo S (72″) Billet high clearance radius rods, Fits 2018+ RZR Turbo S 2/4 Seat. This is the Turbo S 72-inch part number only — RZR XP 1000, RZR XP Turbo and Pro XP cars are on the 64-inch chassis and take separate kits. Note as well that this kit does not fit with an OEM rear bumper. Fitment is not guaranteed on applications not listed here.

FAQ

Why does the lower rear radius rod take the damage on a Polaris RZR Turbo S?

It is the lowest-hanging piece of the rear suspension, so in rocks and deep ruts it makes contact before anything else. When it bends, the rear geometry it was locating bends with it. Raising the lower arm is what this kit changes.

My Turbo S wanders under throttle since a hard landing — is that the radius rods?

It often is. A tweaked rear rod shifts rear toe, which shows up as the car hunting under power and scrubbing the rear tires. Replacing the arms as a set resets the geometry, and the 2 adjustable upper rods with RH/LH 5/8 Heims let you dial toe back in.

Will this 72-inch kit fit a Polaris RZR XP 1000 or Pro XP?

No. This part number is for 2018+ RZR Turbo S 2/4 Seat on the 72″ chassis. RZR XP 1000, RZR XP Turbo and Pro XP cars are 64-inch machines and take their own LM UTV kits. The arms are not interchangeable across widths.

What are the arms and bearings made of?

The arms are 6061 Aircraft grade aluminum billet. The joints are 3 Piece Chromolly PTFE lined 5/8 bearings — 5/8 spherical bearings in the fixed lowers and RH/LH 5/8 Heims in the adjustable uppers — with 17-4 Stainless Steel spacers designed to keep the lower arm upright.

Do I need to modify anything to install these, and what happens to my rear bumper?

The kit itself is a Direct Bolt-on Replacement on the factory mounting points, so no cutting or welding is required for the arms. The bumper is the catch: this kit does not fit with an OEM rear bumper, so plan on removing the factory bumper or running an aftermarket one. Set rear alignment once the arms are in.

How does this compare to the 64-inch 12mm Bolt Polaris RZR kit?

Same idea, different car. Both are Billet high clearance radius rods with 5/8 bearings in 6061 Aircraft grade aluminum, but the 64" kit is for 2017 .5+ RZR 1000 and 2017-2018 RZR Turbo, and it does fit with the OEM rear bumper. This one is cut for the 72″ Turbo S and does not.

Complete Your 72" Polaris RZR Turbo S High Clearance Rear End

Two things to settle before you order: confirm you are on a 2018 or newer Turbo S rather than a 64-inch car, and decide how you are handling the rear bumper, because this kit does not fit with an OEM rear bumper. Then pick a finish, machined finished or Type 3 Hard Black Powder Coat. After install, get a rear alignment so the adjustable uppers are actually set, and look at the mounts the arms bolt into — that is where load moves next. Matching Turbo S tie rods and spare 5/8 bearings are the companion parts worth having before a trip.
