These SuperATV Rhino 2.0 long-travel axles are the replacement axles for the HCR Racing Long-Travel Kit for the Honda Talon 1000X. HCR states they are made for this kit and compatible with it only, so they are not a substitute for stock axles on an unmodified Talon 1000X. Rhino 2.0 axles are built to the kit's lengths from end-to-end 4340 chromoly steel, with oversized CV joints made to run at extreme angles.

If an axle breaks on your HCR-equipped Talon 1000X, this is the direct replacement for the TAL-05500 kit. Choose Front or Rear and your model-year group (2019-2022 or 2023+). Each axle is sold individually.

Key Features

  • End-to-end 4340 chromoly steel construction

  • Lengths matched to the HCR TAL-05500 long-travel kit
  • Separate 2019-2022 and 2023+ versions
  • Lab- and field-tested by SuperATV
  • 18-month warranty

  • Axles that do not match the geometry of the HCR long-travel kit

  • Trail-side breakdowns from axles that are not built for long suspension travel

Best For: Talon 1000X Owners Running HCR Long-Travel Suspension

FAQ

Why do I need special axles for the HCR long-travel kit on my Talon 1000X?

The HCR kit changes the Talon 1000X's suspension geometry and travel, so the axles have to match the kit. HCR specifies these Rhino 2.0 axles, built to the kit's lengths, for that setup.

What makes Rhino 2.0 axles stronger?

They use end-to-end 4340 chromoly steel, a larger-diameter shaft and oversized CV joints made to work at extreme angles and run cooler.

Do these fit the Talon 1000X-4?

Yes. HCR lists the Honda Talon 1000X from 2019 and the Talon 1000X-4 from 2020, as long as the HCR TAL-05500 long-travel kit is installed. Front and rear axles change between 2019-2022 and 2023+ models, so pick your year group.

Do these fit a machine without the HCR kit?

No. HCR states these axles are compatible with its TAL-05500 kit only. A stock-suspension Talon 1000X needs standard-length axles.

Are the axles sold individually?

Yes. Each order is one Rhino 2.0 axle. Choose Front or Rear and your model-year group (2019-2022 or 2023+).

How do these compare to stock axles?

Stock axles are made for stock suspension. These Rhino 2.0 axles are built to the HCR kit's lengths, use chromoly steel throughout and carry an 18-month warranty.

Why SuperATV

SuperATV designs and tests Rhino 2.0 axles in house, in the lab and on the trail, and HCR Racing specifies them for its suspension kits. Every Rhino 2.0 axle is backed by an 18-month warranty.

Finish Your HCR Long-Travel Talon 1000X Build

Order the front axle, the rear axle or both to match the corners you are servicing, and confirm your Talon 1000X is running the HCR TAL-05500 kit before you buy. While the suspension is apart, check the HCR kit's ball joints, tie rods and bushings so a worn part does not load your new Rhino 2.0 axles.
