Is this one axle or a pair?

One axle, sold each. Order quantity two if you are replacing both sides.

Why do stock axles break?

Axles fail where the shaft and CV joint run out of articulation and plunge travel under load. Demon uses larger CV joints and shafts and a dual heat treated chromoly shaft to raise that limit.

What are TPEE boots?

Thermoplastic polyester elastomer. Demon uses them because they are stiffer and more fatigue, puncture and temperature resistant than a standard OEM boot — boots are where many axle failures start.

What does Race Spec mean?

Demon builds the Race Spec line for race loads — the strongest tier they offer, intended for high-horsepower builds, oversized tires and sustained abuse.
