A roof keeps the sun off your head and does nothing about the sun sitting right on the horizon in front of you.
This UTV Zilla visor is a tinted polycarbonate strip that runs across the top of the X3 windshield opening, cutting low morning and evening glare while staying transparent enough to see through rather than creating a blind band.
It is cut from UV-stabilized, name-brand Makrolon and Lexan polycarbonate, and it installs with straps against the factory roll cage, so it goes on in minutes with no drilling and comes back off just as easily.

Built To Solve: Low Sun And Glare In A Can-Am X3 Cab
- A roof blocks overhead sun but does nothing about glare coming in flat at eye level
- Early-morning and late-evening runs put the sun directly in the line of sight on open desert
- Sunglasses alone cannot cut glare that is reflecting off the inside of a windshield
- Bolt-on visors require drilling the cage and cannot come off for a night run
- Cheap untinted plastic strips create a blind band rather than a usable shaded view
Best For: X3 Riders Facing Flat Morning And Evening Sun
- Desert and dune riders who run early and late when the sun sits low
- Owners with a factory roof who still get glare in the eyes
- Riders who want the visor off for night runs and back on in the morning
- Anyone who wants sun relief without committing to a tinted windshield
- Consider instead: the Moto Armor Maverick X3 tinted visor if you want the heavier CNC-cut panel and bolt-on hardware rather than a strap mount

FAQ
Can I see through the tint or does it block the view?
You can see through it. The tint is there to knock down glare rather than to black out the band, so the visor shades the top of your field of view instead of creating a blind strip you have to duck under.
Do I need to drill anything to install it?
No. The visor installs with straps against the factory roll cage. Nothing is drilled, nothing is permanently modified, and it comes back off by hand.
Will it work if I already have a roof?
Yes. UTV Zilla builds it to work alongside the factory roof and factory roll cage. The visor handles the flat, low-angle sun that a roof cannot block.
Does it fit my year X3?
UTV Zilla lists this visor for 2017 through 2025 Can-Am X3 models running the factory roll cage. Machines with intrusion bars are excluded.
How is this different from the Moto Armor X3 visor?
Both are tinted polycarbonate panels doing the same job. The Moto Armor version is a heavier CNC-cut panel with bolt-on hardware and includes its own mounting kit. This UTV Zilla version straps on and off in minutes, which suits riders who want to remove it for night runs, and it comes in at a lower price.
What polycarbonate is it made from?
UTV Zilla states they use name-brand Makrolon and Lexan sheet, UV stabilized, rather than generic plastic. UV stabilization is what keeps the panel from yellowing and going brittle after a season in desert sun.
Why UTV Zilla
UTV Zilla uses name-brand Makrolon and Lexan polycarbonate across the line rather than generic sheet, UV stabilized so it does not yellow or go brittle in desert sun, and cuts every panel from a 3D CAD model on a CNC. Everything is designed and made in the USA, and the strap-mount approach means you are not drilling a factory cage to try an accessory.
Cut The Glare In Your Can-Am X3
Confirm your X3 year falls in the 2017-2025 range, that you are running the factory roll cage, and that your machine does not have intrusion bars. Riders who get glare from the front and dust from behind usually pair this visor with the UTV Zilla tinted rear window. If you want the heavier CNC-cut panel with bolt-on hardware rather than a strap mount, the Moto Armor Maverick X3 tinted visor is the step up.
