FAQ
What comes in the kit?
All Balls lists two boots and four metal clamps, enough for both sides.
Why replace a torn tie rod boot right away?
Once the boot tears, water and grit reach the inner tie rod and rack. Replacing a boot is far cheaper than replacing a steering rack or inner tie rods.
Which machines does it fit?
All Balls lists Yamaha Rhino 450, 660 and 700 (2004-2013), Viking and Viking VI (2014-2026), Wolverine 708, X2 and X4 (2016-2026), Wolverine RMAX2 and RMAX4 (2021-2026) and YXZ1000R (2016-2025).
Is this the inner rack boot or the outer tie rod end boot?
This kit is the steering rack (inner tie rod) boot set. Outer tie rod ends carry their own boots.
Is installation difficult?
The outer tie rod end usually comes off to slide the new boot on, so mark or measure the tie rod position first and check toe afterward. All Balls does not publish an install sheet.
Should I replace the tie rods at the same time?
If the inner joints are loose or the rod is bent, replace the tie rod assembly while the boot is off. If the steering is tight, boots and clamps alone are the right fix.
Why All Balls Racing
All Balls Racing specializes in replacement bearings, seals, steering and suspension rebuild parts for ATVs and UTVs, packaged by application so the right parts arrive for the job. Its kits are built as direct replacements for the factory parts they cover.
Protect Your Yamaha Steering Rack
Confirm your exact year and model in the fitment list, then inspect inner and outer tie rod joints while the boots are off. If a rod is bent or a joint is loose, add the matching tie rod assembly or outer end to the same order.
