FAQ

How do I know my Viking brake rotor is worn?

A pulsing brake pedal, deep grooves or scoring, blue heat marks, or a rotor worn below the minimum thickness stamped on it are the usual signs.

What comes in the kit?

All Balls lists one brake rotor.

Which models does it fit?

All Balls lists Yamaha Viking (2014-2026); Yamaha Viking VI (2015-2025); Yamaha Wolverine (2016-2018); Yamaha Wolverine X2 1000 (2024-2026); Yamaha Wolverine X2 850 (2019-2026); Yamaha Wolverine X4 850 (2018-2026).

Which position does it fit?

It depends on the machine. All Balls lists it for more than one position; the position for each machine is listed under Fitment.

Is installation difficult?

The wheel and caliper come off, then the rotor unbolts from the hub. Clean the new rotor, use new or thread-locked bolts per your service manual, and bed in the pads. All Balls does not publish an install sheet for this part.

Should I replace the pads at the same time?

Yes. New pads should go on with a new rotor so they bed in evenly and stop at full strength.
