FAQ

What comes in the kit?

All Balls lists one tie rod, one tie rod end, one boot and two metal clamps.

Which side does it fit?

All Balls lists this kit for the left side. The right side is sold separately (51-1089-R).

Which Ranger XP 1000 models does it fit?

All Balls lists 2018-2021 Polaris Ranger XP 1000 and Crew XP 1000, 2018-2020 Ranger 1000, 2020-2021 Crew 1000, 2019-2021 Ranger Diesel and 2022-2025 Ranger Pro XD. 2021 and newer Ranger 1000 models are also covered by 51-1114-L / 51-1114-R.

What are signs of a bad tie rod?

A visibly bent rod, steering play, a clunk when turning and toe that drifts are the usual signs.

Do I need an alignment?

Yes. Set toe after installation. All Balls does not publish an install sheet.

Should I buy the full assembly or just the outer end?

If the rod is bent, the boot is torn or the inner joint is loose, the full assembly is the better fix. If only the outer end is worn, an outer tie rod end may be enough.
