Key Features

  • Upgrades OEM steel, composite or aluminum pistons to 304 stainless steel, per All Balls
  • Eliminates OEM ceramic inserts that can crack under heavy load and high heat
  • 304 stainless resists the corrosion found on chrome-plated pistons and will not turn brittle like composite pistons
  • Stainless steel conducts up to 90% less heat than aluminum, sending less heat into the caliper and fluid, per All Balls

Built To Solve: Worn Polaris RZR 900, RZR 800 and General 1000 Stainless Brake Caliper Piston Kit Problems

  • Corroded, pitted or sticking caliper pistons
  • Brittle composite pistons that crack
  • Heat fade from pistons that pass heat to the fluid
  • Repeat sticking after seal-only rebuilds

Best For: Polaris RZR 900, RZR 800 and General 1000 Owners Rebuilding The Brakes

  • RZR 900 owners replacing worn caliper pistons
  • Riders in sand, mud and water who wear brakes fast
  • Higher-hour trail and work machines
  • Owners doing their own brake service

FAQ

Why replace the RZR 900 caliper pistons with stainless?

OEM composite pistons can turn brittle and chrome or aluminum pistons can corrode and stick. All Balls' 304 stainless pistons resist corrosion and carry less heat into the caliper.

What comes in the kit?

All Balls lists two caliper pistons.

Which models does it fit?

All Balls lists Polaris General 1000 (2017-2026); Polaris RZR 570 (2012-2020); Polaris RZR 800 (2008-2014); Polaris RZR 900 (2015-2020); Polaris RZR 900 Trail (2021-2026); Polaris RZR S 800 (2009-2014); Polaris RZR S1000 (2016-2021); Polaris RZR S900 (2015-2020); Polaris RZR Trail (2021-2022); Polaris RZR Trail S 1000 (2021-2026); and more, see the full fitment list below.

Which position does it fit?

It depends on the machine. All Balls lists it for more than one position; the position for each machine is listed under Fitment.

Is installation difficult?

The caliper is disassembled, the old pistons are pushed out and the new stainless pistons go in with fresh seals. A caliper rebuild kit is usually replaced at the same time. Bleed the brakes afterward. All Balls does not publish an install sheet for this part.

Do I need a caliper rebuild kit as well?

Usually yes. New seals and boots should go in with new pistons, so pair this with the matching All Balls caliper rebuild kit.
