FAQ

What comes in the kit?

All Balls lists one tie rod, one tie rod end, one boot, two metal clamps and one nut.

Which side does it fit?

All Balls lists this kit for the right side. The left side is sold separately (51-1041-L).

Which Ranger 800 models does it fit?

All Balls lists Polaris Ranger XP 800 and Crew 800 (2010-2014), Ranger 6x6 800 (2010-2016), Ranger 900 Diesel (2011-2014) and the 2009-2010 Ranger 500 EFI and 2009 Ranger 700.

What are signs of a bad tie rod?

A visibly bent rod, steering play, a clunk when turning and toe that drifts are the usual signs.

Do I need an alignment?

Yes. Set toe after installation. All Balls does not publish an install sheet.

Should I buy the full assembly or just the outer end?

If the rod is straight and only the end is worn, the outer tie rod end (51-1030) is enough. If the rod is bent or the boot is torn, the full assembly is the better fix.
