The SSV Works Phase-7 V-Spec kit is a plug-&-play Polaris Xpedition sound system upgrade for 2024-2027 Xpedition XP 5 and ADV 5 (4-door) models with the factory Ride Command 7-inch touchscreen and factory JBL audio. It replaces the factory speakers and 4-channel amp with SSV V6 speakers and a new 1,400-watt 5-channel amplifier, adds a ported rear-seat enclosure loaded with an SSV 10-inch subwoofer, and keeps the factory front subwoofer, its 400-watt sub amp and full Ride Command control.

SSV rates the finished system at 1,800 watts and 8 speakers, and both numbers count factory parts that stay in your machine. The new 1,400-watt amplifier powers the new speakers and the rear-seat subwoofer, while the retained factory 400-watt sub amp keeps powering the factory front subwoofer, which is the eighth speaker in SSV's count. The kit itself supplies the SSV V6 speakers for the front dash and rear 6.5-inch locations, front tweeters, the rear-seat sub enclosure with its 10-inch subwoofer, the amplifier and an RGB controller. It does not include a radio.

As a Polaris Xpedition audio kit that adds a Polaris Xpedition subwoofer in the back row, it is the Xpedition ADV 5 audio kit and Xpedition XP 5 sound system for owners who want an Xpedition JBL audio upgrade that keeps the factory display. This Xpedition Ride Command audio kit tops the SSV Works Xpedition Phase-7 line: this Xpedition V-Spec audio kit uses SSV V6 Xpedition speakers, while the K-Spec version uses Kicker KML speakers, and both share the same Xpedition rear seat subwoofer.

Key Features

  • Retains all Ride Command functions, so volume, source, fade and EQ stay on the factory Ride Command display
  • SSV V6 6.5-inch full-range speakers for the front dash and rear 6.5-inch locations, rated up to 160 watts each by SSV
  • Front tweeters for the front tweeter locations
  • New 1,400-watt 5-channel amplifier replaces the factory 4-channel amp
  • Ported rear-seat enclosure loaded with an SSV 10-inch subwoofer rated up to 1,000 watts max, powered by the new amplifier
  • Factory front subwoofer and factory 400-watt sub amp stay active; SSV's 1,800-watt, 8-speaker rating includes them
  • RGB controller included to set the lighting color for your build
  • SSV covers the enclosure and SSV subwoofer under its Limited Lifetime Warranty

Built To Solve: Weak Factory JBL Audio In The Polaris Xpedition 5

  • Factory Xpedition speakers and 4-channel amp running out of clean volume at trail speed
  • Wanting more output without giving up the factory Ride Command display and controls
  • Bass that stops at the front seats; the rear-seat 10-inch sub carries low end to the back row
  • Radio swaps that replace the factory interface instead of building on it
  • Piecing together speakers, an amp and harnesses that were never designed for the Xpedition

Best For: Polaris Xpedition XP 5 And ADV 5 Ride Command Owners

  • 2024-2025 Ultimate and 2024-2027 NorthStar Xpedition XP 5 and ADV 5 with the Ride Command 7-inch touchscreen and factory JBL audio
  • Four-door owners who want bass in the back row, not only from the factory front sub
  • Owners who want SSV V6 speakers; the Phase-7 K-Spec kit uses Kicker KML speakers instead
  • Not for 2-door Xpedition XP or ADV models (see the Phase-5 kits), or any Xpedition without Ride Command and factory JBL audio

FAQ

What subwoofers does the Phase-7 kit use?

Two. The kit adds a ported rear-seat enclosure loaded with an SSV 10-inch subwoofer, powered by the new 1,400-watt amplifier. Your factory front subwoofer stays in place on the factory 400-watt sub amp.

Where does the 1,800-watt rating come from?

SSV adds the new 1,400-watt 5-channel amplifier in this kit to the factory 400-watt sub amp that stays in your Xpedition. The kit itself supplies the 1,400-watt amplifier.

Will it fit a 2-door Xpedition XP or ADV?

No. SSV states this kit fits the 4-door XP 5 and ADV 5 only. 2-door XP and ADV owners should look at the Phase-5 kits.

Will it work on an Xpedition without Ride Command?

No. SSV states this kit is compatible only with Xpedition models factory-equipped with both the Ride Command 7-inch touchscreen and the factory JBL audio system.

Do I keep my Ride Command controls?

Yes. SSV states all Ride Command functions are retained, so volume, source, fade and EQ stay on the factory display.

What is the difference between Phase-7 K-Spec and V-Spec?

Both use the same 1,400-watt amplifier and SSV 10-inch rear-seat sub, keep the factory front sub and fit the same XP 5 and ADV 5 models. K-Spec uses Kicker KML speakers rated up to 195 watts each; V-Spec uses SSV V6 speakers rated up to 160 watts each.

Why SSV Works

SSV Works has built purpose-made UTV audio since 2006, engineering speakers, enclosures and vehicle-specific systems for off-road machines. Its Xpedition Phase kits are built to work with the factory Ride Command display rather than replace it.

Add Rear-Seat Bass To Your Polaris Xpedition XP 5 Or ADV 5

Confirm you have a 4-door XP 5 or ADV 5 with the factory Ride Command 7-inch display and factory JBL audio, then choose Kicker KML (K-Spec) or SSV V6 (V-Spec) speakers for this Phase-7 kit. 2-door owners and anyone who only wants new speakers and an amp should compare the Phase-5 kits.
