TPR Double Shear Hub Kit for Pro R & Turbo R

The TPR Race Prepped Double Shear Hub Kit is a patented hub upgrade designed to eliminate wheel stud failures and lug loosening issues on Polaris Pro R and Turbo R platforms.

Factory Polaris 5-lug unitized hubs use shallow stud engagement and are not hub-centric. This means vehicle weight and load forces are primarily supported by the wheel studs. On heavier, higher horsepower Pro R and Turbo R models running larger tires, this can lead to broken studs and loose lug nuts.

The factory hub provides approximately .350” of stud engagement. The TPR double shear hub kit doubles that to .700”, dramatically increasing load support and reducing dependency on excessive lug torque.

TPR’s patented double shear ring is a 2-piece design that installs behind the hub flange and locks into the machined outer area of the hub for maximum strength and support.

Recommended wheel torque with this system is 120 ft lbs, reducing stress on tapered lug seats compared to the factory 148 ft lbs spec.

Installation Notes

  • No modifications required to the hub

For unassembled kits, we highly recommend adding TPR026 Install Kit, which includes:

  • Locating pins
  • Press sleeve
  • Stepped reamer for brake rotors and wheels (for 1/2" studs)

If purchasing fully assembled hubs with 1/2" studs, only the stepped reamer (TPR026) is required for rotor and wheel holes.

Reamer is not required for 12mm studs.
