How is this different from the CNC Machined Flat End Cap?
The CNC Machined Flat End Cap (also on the site) is machined from bar stock with an alignment step for precise tube insertion. The Laser Cut Cap is a simple cut disc — lower cost but without the alignment step. Both weld in, but the machined version provides better alignment and a tighter weld gap.
Can this be used as a press-fit without welding?
In some tube sizes the laser cut disc will press-fit with enough friction for light-duty no-weld applications. For permanent installations, welding is always recommended.
