Frequently Asked Questions

Does the Tough Claw work on UTV cage tubes?

The Tough Claw is rated for tubes up to approximately 1.25" diameter. Most UTV cage tubes are 1.50"-1.75" OD — larger than the Tough Claw's rated clamping range. For UTV cage tubes, the AJK Aluminum RAM Mount cage clamp is the correct solution. The Tough Claw is ideal for smaller bars, rollbars on motorcycles, ATVs, and flat surface applications.

Can I use this as a temporary mount on my UTV dashboard?

Yes — for flat dash surfaces the Tough Claw provides a reliable tool-free temporary mount. For a permanent dash solution, a bolt-on base is recommended.
