Mega Keller ball joints are for RZR XP 1000 owners who have already broken the strong ones. The housing and stud are oversized well beyond a standard joint, using a tool-steel body and a 4340 chromoly stud, with the same two-piece threaded design that removes the snap ring entirely. They are big enough that your A-arms must be modified to accept them, which is the trade for the strength.
If your machine is not running portals, big tires, or race-level abuse, the standard Keller joint bolts straight in and is the sensible choice.
Key Features
- Oversized tool steel housing with an enlarged 4340 hardened chromoly stud
- Two-piece threaded design doesn't require a snap ring
- Easily adjustable, rebuildable, and greaseable
- Robust boot retaining ring prevents water intrusion
- Requires modification of your A-arms to fit
- Sold individually, in pairs, or as a set of four
Built To Solve: Repeat Ball Joint Failure on Heavily Built RZR XP 1000s
- Standard ball joints that keep failing on a machine running portals or 32-inch-plus tires
- Snap ring separation under race or dune landing loads
- Studs bending or snapping rather than the housing letting go
- Front ends that get rebuilt every season and still do not last
- Builds where the A-arms are already being modified or replaced anyway
Best For: Portal-Equipped, Big-Tire and Race-Prepped RZR XP 1000 Builds
- Machines on portal gears carrying significantly more unsprung weight
- Dune and desert riders landing hard and often
- Rock crawlers loading the front end at full articulation
- Owners already committed to modifying or upgrading their A-arms
- Experienced installers, or riders willing to pay for professional installation
This is not the joint for a stock or lightly modified XP 1000. The standard Keller ball joint fits without touching your A-arms and solves the same snap ring problem.

FAQ
Do Mega Keller ball joints really require A-arm modification?
Yes, and it is not optional. The housing is deliberately larger than a standard joint to make room for a bigger ball and stud, so the A-arm has to be machined to accept it. If you are not prepared to do that, the standard Keller joint is the right part.
What do I actually gain over the standard Keller joint?
Size. Both use the same two-piece threaded principle and both eliminate the snap ring. The Mega adds a larger tool steel housing and a thicker chromoly stud, which is what you want when the standard joint is no longer the weak point but the stud still is.
Do these fit the RZR XP 4 1000?
Yes, on the same 2014-2023 range as the two-seat XP 1000, including High Lifter and Trails & Rocks editions, provided the A-arms are modified.
Are they still greaseable and rebuildable?
Yes. Being the strongest option does not make them disposable. They grease, adjust and rebuild the same way the standard Keller joints do.
Can I install these myself?
Only if you can modify the A-arms correctly. This is a job for an experienced installer or a shop. The official install video covers how Keller joints thread in, but the A-arm machining is on you.
Should I run Mega joints on a mostly stock machine?
Probably not. If you are not running portals, very large tires, or racing, you are paying for strength and install work you will not use. The standard Keller joint already removes the snap ring failure point.
Why Keller
Todd Keller's two-piece threaded design fixed the snap ring problem; the Mega is that same idea taken to its limit. SuperATV builds and backs the line. Nothing here is disposable — the joints grease, adjust and rebuild, so a hard season means a service rather than a replacement.
Finish Your Heavy-Duty RZR XP 1000 Front End
Before ordering, confirm two things: that your model year is 2014-2023, and that your A-arms are modified or will be. If they are not, order the standard Keller joint instead. Riders going this route are usually replacing A-arms at the same time, and the Keller rebuild kit for Polaris covers the Mega joints when they eventually need servicing rather than replacing.
