The TPR Water Cooled Turbo for Polaris Pro XP and Turbo R is a high-performance direct replacement turbocharger engineered for improved efficiency, faster spool, and significantly higher power potential over the stock unit.

Designed for Polaris 2-cylinder turbo platforms, this Pro XP turbo upgrade supports up to 265 wheel horsepower, depending on your build and supporting modifications. It is a direct bolt-on replacement for Pro XP and Turbo R models and can also be installed on XP Turbo(S) models using the TPR015 install kit (included when XP Turbo S option is selected).

This turbo is engineered to produce more power with less boost, which is critical for long-term reliability on Polaris 2-cylinder engines. A more efficient turbo reduces back pressure, increases spool response, and delivers higher gains without excessive boost levels.

Tuning is required. Your factory boost controller must be programmed to achieve your targeted boost levels.

Performance Details

Stock Polaris 2-cylinder turbo machines range from approximately 135 wheel HP (XP Turbo) to 156 wheel HP (Pro XP), depending on model and year.

This turbo supports up to 265 wheel HP depending on your overall build configuration.

For dune or endurance applications, boost should not exceed 26 lbs due to sustained shaft speed limits. Short-term or drag racing applications can run up to 32 lbs.

The included TPR-built Turbosmart actuator is set at 5 lbs crack pressure. Increasing gate pressure is not recommended, as it can cause wastegate failure and boost creep. This turbo is designed to perform optimally with the supplied 5 lb actuator.

The key to reliable power on Polaris 2-cylinder engines is achieving maximum power with the least amount of boost. This turbo’s efficiency allows you to generate more power at lower boost levels compared to stock.
