Polaris RZR Manual Timing Chain Tensioner

The Polaris RZR timing chain tensioner is one of the most critical upgrades for protecting your engine. The factory self-adjusting tensioner found in many RZR turbo and XP 1000 models is a known failure point. When it fails, it can quickly lead to catastrophic engine damage, including loose timing chains cutting into the engine case or jumping teeth on cam gears.

The TPR manual timing chain tensioner eliminates the weak factory design and replaces it with a proven, adjustable solution trusted in everything from recreational desert riding to major desert racing series and BAJA events — with zero failures reported.

Unlike the factory self-adjusting unit, this RZR manual timing chain tensioner allows precise adjustment. Maintenance is simple: loosen the nut and turn the knob. It can even be adjusted with the engine running. Service intervals are typically every 500–750 miles, depending on driving style.

The body and adjustment knob are machined from 6061 billet aluminum, while the internals are built from 17-4 stainless steel for strength and durability. Stainless steel ARP bolts are included. Every unit is designed, machined, and assembled 100% in-house.

If you own a turbo or high-performance Polaris, this Polaris RZR manual timing chain tensioner is cheap insurance against total engine failure.
