The Wildcat Trail and Sport 700 put the wind straight in your face, and a taller windshield is not the only way to fix it. This UTV Zilla half windshield is 3/16" polycarbonate with a deliberately large upper lip, which in UTV Zilla's words deflects more air than smaller-lip windshields and works better without being taller. You get the air pushed over your head while keeping the open view and airflow a half windshield exists for.

It mounts with custom billet clamps and stainless hardware, and a rubber seal runs along the bottom edge to protect the plastics and stop the rattle a bare edge causes.

Key Features

  • Tough 3/16" thick polycarbonate construction
  • Large upper lip deflects more air than smaller-lip windshields, without the extra height
  • 3D CAD designed and CNC cut for fit and finish
  • Custom billet mounts and stainless steel hardware
  • Rubber seal along the bottom edge protects plastics and prevents rattling
  • Three options: plain polycarbonate, tinted, or hard coated for scratch resistance
  • Designed and made in the USA

Built To Solve: Wind Blast And Rattle On An Open Wildcat Trail Cockpit

  • An open cockpit on the Trail and Sport puts wind and trail debris straight at the driver's face
  • A full windshield seals the cab but kills the airflow a trail machine wants in summer
  • Taller half windshields deflect more air but raise the machine and put a thicker edge in your sightline; the large lip does the same job at a lower height
  • Bare polycarbonate edges sit on the plastics and rattle on washboard; the rubber seal stops it
  • Uncoated polycarbonate scratches, which is why a hard-coated option exists

Best For: Wildcat Trail And Sport Riders Who Want Deflection Without Sealing The Cab

  • Trail riders who want wind off their face but still want air moving through
  • Warm-weather riders for whom a full windshield is too much
  • Dusty or sandy riders who should take the Hard Coated option, since bare polycarbonate will scratch
  • Read the options carefully: Tinted and Hard Coated are both $149, but the Tinted panel is explicitly not hard coated. If scratch resistance matters more than glare, choose Hard Coated for the same money
  • Consider instead: the Wildcat Trail/Sport rear windshield if dust from behind is the real problem rather than wind from the front

  • Bottom edge: rubber seal, anti-rattle
  • Options: Regular Polycarbonate (not hard coated), Tinted (not hard coated), Hard Coated (scratch resistant)

Fitment

  • Arctic Cat Wildcat 700 Trail, 2014 and newer
  • Arctic Cat Wildcat 700 Sport, 2014 and newer

This is the Trail and Sport part and is a different panel from the Wildcat XX half windshield. Half windshields can interfere with aftermarket roofs, mirrors with thick clamps, and cab enclosures, so check what is already on the front of your cage. Fitment is not guaranteed on applications not listed above.

FAQ

Which option should I pick?

If you ride dust or sand, take Hard Coated. It is the same $149 as Tinted and it is the only one with scratch resistance. Take Tinted only if glare matters more to you than scratching, because the tinted panel is explicitly not hard coated. The plain polycarbonate is the cheapest and will scratch the soonest.

Why a big lip instead of a taller windshield?

UTV Zilla's reasoning is that the large upper lip deflects more air than a smaller lip does, so it works better without being taller. A taller panel raises the machine and puts more edge in your line of sight; the lip gets the air over your head at a lower height.

Will it rattle?

There is a rubber seal along the bottom edge specifically to protect the plastics and prevent rattling, which is the usual complaint with a bare polycarbonate edge resting on bodywork.

Will it fit a Wildcat XX?

No. The XX uses a different cage and takes the separate UTV Zilla Wildcat XX half windshield. This one is cut for the Trail and Sport 700.

Does it come with the mounts?

Yes. Custom billet mounts and stainless steel hardware are included.

Will the polycarbonate scratch?

Uncoated polycarbonate will, which is why UTV Zilla offers the Hard Coated option. Even hard-coated plastic is not glass, so rinse grit off before wiping rather than dragging it across the surface.

Why UTV Zilla

UTV Zilla cuts 3/16" polycarbonate on CNC from 3D CAD patterns, supplies custom billet mounts and stainless hardware with every panel, and seals the bottom edge against rattle, all designed and made in the USA. They also still cover the Wildcat Trail and Sport 700, which much of the aftermarket has dropped.

Set Up Your Wildcat Trail For Open-Air Riding

Decide on the coating before you order, since Hard Coated costs the same as Tinted and is the better choice for dusty riding. Check your cage tube diameter against the billet mounts if the cage has been replaced. Riders who want the cockpit closed front and back usually add the UTV Zilla Wildcat Trail/Sport rear windshield, and either the aluminum or hard plastic roof for overhead cover. If you later decide you want full coverage instead of airflow, the half windshield mounts come off without drilling anything new.
