SSV Works rear-upper 6.5-inch speaker pods add rear audio coverage to the Can-Am Defender HD10 and HD11 without taking up cab space. The rotomolded pods mount between the roof and factory roof liner, so only the speaker shows inside the cab, and you can order them unloaded or loaded with SSV A6, SSV V6 or Kicker KML speakers.

If you are shopping for Can-Am Defender speakers, these Defender speaker pods add Can-Am Defender rear speakers in a factory-style location. They work as Defender HD10 speakers on 2018-2025 machines and as Defender HD11 speakers on 2026 models, giving you UTV rear speakers and UTV overhead speakers in one set of SSV Works speaker pods. Compared with bolt-on UTV speaker pods, the hidden mount keeps the cab clean.

The headliner sits between the enclosure and the speaker, so the finished install looks like the speaker is mounted in a factory overhead panel. Placing the speakers high in the rear of the cab helps fill the Defender with sound instead of relying only on front speakers.

Key Features

  • Mounts in the upper rear cab between the roof and factory roof liner for a hidden, factory-style install
  • High-strength rotomolded pods built for off-road use
  • Order unloaded, or loaded with SSV A6, SSV V6 full-range or Kicker KML 6.5-inch speakers
  • Adds rear speaker locations to a factory, custom or full SSV Works system; powering them requires available amplifier channels (amplifier sold separately)
  • SSV speakers and enclosures covered by the SSV Works Limited Lifetime Warranty

Built To Solve: No Rear Speaker Coverage In The Defender HD10 And HD11

  • Rear passengers hear little when all the sound comes from the front of the cab
  • Visible aftermarket boxes that eat cab space and look bolted on
  • No clean factory-style location to add rear speakers

Best For: Can-Am Defender HD10 And HD11 Audio Upgrades

  • Defender HD10 and HD11 owners adding rear speakers to a system with amplifier channels available to power them
  • Crew and MAX owners who carry rear-seat passengers
  • Builders who want the Unloaded pods to run their own 6.5-inch speakers
  • Owners building a full SSV Works Defender system around a sound bar or HD11 kit

FAQ

Will the pods show inside my Defender cab?

Only the speaker is visible. The pods fit between the roof and factory roof liner, with the headliner sitting between the enclosure and the speaker.

Do these fit the 2026 Defender HD11?

Yes. SSV Works lists the 2026 Defender HD11 and MAX HD11 XT, XT CAB, X MR and Limited, plus the MAX HD11 Lone Star/CAB.

Which speaker option should I choose?

SSV V6 is SSV's full-range powersports speaker, Kicker KML has the highest listed power rating, SSV A6 is the lowest-priced loaded option, and Unloaded lets you install your own 6.5-inch speakers.

Do these plug into my factory Defender audio?

Not on their own. These are speaker pods only, with no amplifier, wiring harness or radio included. To run them you need an amplifier with available channels and speaker wiring, sold separately. SSV Works positions them for adding rear fill when upgrading a factory system, a custom build or a full SSV Works setup.

Are the pods hard to install?

They mount in the upper rear cab between the roof and liner. SSV Works provides online installation instructions; review them before you start.

Why add rear pods instead of more front speakers?

Rear-upper pods put sound high in the back of the cab, helping fill the Defender with sound instead of relying only on front speakers.

Why SSV Works

SSV Works has built purpose-made UTV audio since 2006, engineering weatherproof speakers, enclosures and complete systems for the dust, water and vibration of off-road riding rather than adapting car or marine gear.
