Built To Solve: Stock-Length And Bending Tie Rods On A 4in Long Travel Polaris RZR

  • Factory-length rods left in a widened front end. With 4.0in per side added, a stock rod runs out of adjustment before it reaches the toe setting the car needs.
  • Rods loaded past what the factory part was sized for. A wider track increases what the steering sees at the wheel, and the OEM rod is the piece that bends under it.

Why will my stock tie rods not work with a 4in per-side long travel kit?

Since the long travel install my Polaris RZR wanders and the steering feels loose — is that the tie rods?
