FAQ
How do I know my Ranger XP 1000 prop shaft is bad?
Vibration that rises with speed, a clunk when changing direction, a visibly bent tube, or play at the U-joints are the usual signs.
What comes with it?
One complete prop shaft. All Balls notes the carrier bearing is included where the design uses one.
Which models does it fit?
All Balls lists Polaris Ranger Crew XP 1000 (2019-2020); Polaris Ranger XP 1000 (2019).
Is installation difficult?
The old prop shaft unbolts at each end and the new shaft goes in its place. Mark yoke orientation and follow your service manual torque values. All Balls does not publish an install sheet for this part.
Should I replace the U-joints or the whole shaft?
If the tube is straight and only a joint is worn, replacing the U-joint is cheaper. If the shaft is bent, out of balance or the carrier bearing is worn, the complete shaft is the better fix.
