FAQ
How do I know my Commander hub needs replacing?
A clunk from worn hub splines, a wheel that wobbles from a bent flange, or studs that will not hold torque are the usual signs. Check the bearing at the same time, since a worn bearing can also cause play.
What comes in the kit?
All Balls lists one hub per kit. Wheel studs, nuts and bearings are sold separately, so check the condition of those parts before ordering.
Which models does it fit?
All Balls lists Can-Am Commander 1000 (2011-2017); Can-Am Commander 1000R (2018); Can-Am Commander 800 (2011-2020); Can-Am Commander Electric 9KW (2013).
Is this a front or rear hub?
All Balls lists this hub for the front and rear position on the machines it covers. Confirm your exact year and model in the fitment list below.
Is installation difficult?
The wheel, brake caliper and axle nut come off, and the hub slides off the axle splines. Torque the axle nut to your service manual value and install a new cotter pin. All Balls does not publish an install sheet for this hub.
Should I replace the wheel studs too?
If the studs are stretched, stripped or rusted, replace them while the hub is off. All Balls sells wheel stud and nut kits for many of the same machines.
