The SSV Works Phase-6 K-Spec system is a 1400-watt, 6-speaker Can-Am Maverick R stereo built around Kicker speakers for 2024-2026 X-trim models with the factory BRP touchscreen. It pairs Kicker 6.5-inch front speakers with Kicker KMXL 6.5-inch compression horn rear speakers and two 10-inch subwoofers in under-seat enclosures, run by Kicker 5-channel amplification and an RGB controller.

For riders comparing Maverick R speakers and Maverick R audio, SSV Works Phase-6 is the top of SSV's Can-Am Maverick R sound system lineup and the horn-speaker option, pairing Kicker UTV speakers with dual Maverick R subwoofer enclosures as Maverick R touchscreen audio. Among SSV Works Maverick R kits, and compared with the Phase-5 V-Spec, this Maverick R stereo system and UTV stereo system trades SSV V-Spec speakers for Kicker horns.

Key Features

  • Interfaces with the factory BRP touchscreen head unit; SSV says you keep full control, the factory look and navigation features
  • SSV rates the system at 1400 watts and 6 speakers (SSV counts subwoofers as speakers)
  • Kicker 6.5-inch front speakers and Kicker KMXL 6.5-inch compression horn rear speakers
  • Two 10-inch subwoofers in shallow-mount under-seat enclosures that SSV says still allow the upper or lower seat position
  • Kicker 5-channel amplification and an RGB controller
  • Vehicle-specific plug-and-play wiring; SSV lists factory mounting and UV resistance

Built To Solve: Factory Maverick R Audio That Cannot Cut Through Noise

  • Vocals that disappear under engine and wind noise at speed
  • Too little output for passengers, the rear seat or camp
  • Thin bass from the stock system
  • Aftermarket radios that would replace the BRP touchscreen and its features

Best For: Maverick R Owners Wanting Kicker Horn Speakers And Dual Subs

  • 2024-2026 Maverick R X, X RS, X RC and X RS with Smart-Shox owners, plus the MAX trims SSV lists (see Fitment)
  • Riders who want horn-loaded rear speakers that project sound at speed and at camp
  • Owners who want dual subwoofers while keeping the factory touchscreen as the source
  • Riders who prefer SSV V-Spec speakers should compare SSV's Phase-5 V-Spec system

FAQ

Is a radio or head unit included?

No. The system interfaces with the Maverick R's factory BRP touchscreen head unit, which stays your source, so you keep factory control, look and navigation features. No separate radio is included.

Why horn speakers in the rear?

SSV uses compression horn speakers to project clear vocals through engine noise. The rear pair in this kit is Kicker KMXL 6.5-inch horn speakers.

Which Maverick R models does it fit?

SSV Works lists 2024-2026 Maverick R X, X RS, X RC and X RS with Smart-Shox, the 2024-2026 X RC MAX, and the 2025-2026 X MAX, X RS MAX and X RS MAX with Smart-Shox. The base Maverick R and base MAX are not on SSV's chart.

Can I still adjust my seat with the under-seat subwoofers?

Yes. SSV Works says its shallow-mount 10-inch subwoofer enclosures still let you run the seat in either the upper or lower position.

How does it install?

SSV lists the system as plug-and-play with vehicle-specific wiring and factory mounting, and says no soldering, cutting or crimping is needed. SSV publishes installation and tuning instructions for the kit.

How is Phase-6 K-Spec different from Phase-5 V-Spec?

Both are 6-speaker, 1400-watt systems per SSV. Phase-6 K-Spec uses Kicker front speakers and Kicker horn rear speakers; Phase-5 V-Spec is SSV's V-Spec speaker version.

Why SSV Works

SSV Works has built purpose-made UTV audio since 2006, engineering weatherproof speakers, enclosures and complete systems for the dust, water and vibration of off-road riding rather than adapting car or marine gear.

Finish Your Maverick R Kicker Horn Audio Upgrade

Confirm your Maverick R year and trim against SSV's chart, then choose Phase-6 K-Spec if you want Kicker horns and dual subwoofers on the factory touchscreen. MAX owners can add SSV's rear-seat dual subwoofer kit, and lower door speaker pods or universal cage-pod tweeters can expand coverage later. Order from Dunes 2 Dezert SXS.
