KRX Rear Billet Knuckle
The Kawasaki KRX 1000 Rear Knuckle is a critical upgrade for riders who push their KRX beyond casual trail use. Through extensive racing and real-world testing—both on our own KRX race cars and with multiple race teams—we identified a major weakness in the OEM rear knuckle design.
The factory cast knuckle is prone to twisting under load, especially during high-speed desert racing, hard cornering, and aggressive rock crawling. This twisting causes the wheel bearing bore to go out of round, leading to rapid wheel bearing wear and premature failure—often long before the bearing should ever need replacement.
Our solution is a precision CNC-machined rear knuckle made from 7075 billet aluminum, delivering dramatically increased rigidity and strength where it matters most. This billet construction resists deflection, keeping the bearing bore perfectly round under extreme loads and protecting your wheel bearings from unnecessary stress.
In addition to improved durability, this KRX rear knuckle is approximately 3 pounds lighter per side than the OEM unit, reducing unsprung weight for improved suspension response and handling performance.
To further enhance reliability, the knuckle features a proprietary bearing retention system, designed to securely hold the wheel bearing in place—even under extreme racing conditions—eliminating common failure points found in stock knuckles.
